Chukwunonso Nwabufo, is Drug Metabolism and Disposition Highlighted Trainee Author for the January 2025 issue. Chukwunonso is in his final year as a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto.

His research focuses on understanding how diseases like COVID-19 interfere with the body's ability to process drugs by altering the function of genes and proteins involved in drug metabolism and transport. His long-term career and research plans are focused on advancing personalized medicine, particularly by improving how we understand and manage disease-drug interactions.
