Molecules enter our bodies in many ways as drugs, foods, poisons through the cellular machinery that responds makes no such distinctions. Society does. This session will demonstrate an interactive teaching approach, underpinned by open-inquiry problem-based
learning, for pharmacology educators and learners using a variety of molecular delivery devices and objects (e.g., inhalers, pills, ointments, cosmetics, foods, natural compounds) to stimulate discussion and research about the bioactive molecules
present in them. The activity will explore the interplay between diverse social groups that view these molecules through distinctive lenses. The audience will be able to interact and engage in this activity through virtual breakout rooms.
