The Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (CSPT) is a national not-for-profit charitable organization that aims to foster the application of educational and research excellence to drug discovery and therapeutic choice. CSPT is the official Canadian Member of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR).

Membership

The CSPT membership comprises basic scientists, clinician scientists and trainees including postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students and medical residents. CSPT members have an interest in clinical and basic pharmacology research, education and practice, and are active in academia, industry, government and consulting. 

Mission

The CSPT works to bring together a multidisciplinary group of individuals with broad interests in optimally safe and effective drug therapy.

Vision

The CSPT strives to be the national voice fostering the application of educational and research excellence to drug discovery and therapeutic choice. 

Values

The CSPT values include basic and clinical research, education and training in basic and clinical pharmacology, multi-sectoral inputs (government, academia, industry, healthcare professionals, researchers) and safe and effective therapeutic choices.
