In light of the Supreme Court’s recent decision regarding affirmative action in universities, ASPET remains committed to our goal of cultivating a diverse and inclusive community that creates a sense of belonging, engagement, and harmony within our interdisciplinary pharmacological community.  In alignment with the Society’s programs that support our IDEA goals, ASPET is committed to building an inclusive and diverse culture through the strategies included in the 2023 – 2027 Strategic Plan. 

While the legal landscape has changed for thousands of ASPET members in academia, the Society supports universities providing educational opportunities for pharmacology students from diverse backgrounds. Whether in academia, government, large pharmaceutical companies, small biotech companies, or non-profit organizations, a diverse pipeline of pharmacology students will ensure that the pharmacology profession continues to flourish for many years to come.
