ASPET welcomes Plan S-funded authors! Researchers who are supported by Plan S funders can continue to publish in ASPET’s journals when new Plan S restrictions go into effect on January 1. Plan S-funded authors will be allowed to deposit the accepted
manuscript version of their paper in a publicly available repository with no embargo period and under a CC BY license. These conditions meet the Plan S requirements for publication.
The copyedited and formatted version of these papers will be published under an ASPET copyright line in the journal. Open access remains an option for all authors, but Plan S funders will not pay article processing charges (APCs) for papers published
in subscription journals that offer open access.
National, charitable, and international funders and research organizations that formally support Plan S are listed on the Plan S website. A paper must cite funding from one
of these bodies for the authors to deposit the accepted manuscript version in an open repository.
ASPET has made the manuscript version of all papers published in DMD, JPET, and Molecular Pharmacology freely accessible from the journals’ websites since April 2005. ASPET’s Board of Publications Trustees voted
earlier in 2020 to allow green open access for Plan S-funded articles. Contact the ASPET journals department with questions about this
policy. We welcome your manuscript submission!
