Dr. Margarita L. Dubocovich from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will present the 2021 Norman Weiner Lecture. This lecture was established in memory of Dr. Norman Weiner, past ASPET President and chair of the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado. It is in honor of his many contributions to both ASPET and to pharmacology research and education. Her keynote lecture is titled "Cycle of Discovery: Neuropharmacology of Melatonin Receptors and Circadian Rhythms."

To honor the scientific career of Dr. Norman Weiner, a leader in pharmacological science, this lecture will describe the cycle of discovery that led to the current understanding of melatonin receptors’ neuropharmacology, their impact on the modulation of circadian rhythms, and as targets for therapeutic drugs.
