While cryo-EM and crystallography have greatly advanced our structural perspective of GPCRs, NMR provides a window into the conformational ensemble and the dynamics associated with receptor activation and the G protein cycle in response to ligand. This talk will examine new developments in 19F NMR studies of receptor-heterotrimeric G protein complexes and the resulting insights into signalling and opportunities for pharmacology.
