Dr. Andrew Goodman from Yale University is the recipient of the ASPET 2020 John J. Abel Award in Pharmacology. The Abel Award is named after the founder of ASPET. It was established in 1946 to stimulate fundamental research in pharmacology and experimental therapeutics by young investigators.
Dr. Goodman is receiving this reward in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the study of the impact of the microbiome on drug metabolism through the fearless use of cutting edge high throughput genetic and chemical methods.
