Pharmacological Reviews

Since 1949, Pharmacological Reviews has presented important review articles covering the broad spectrum of pharmacological research. Topics covered have included biochemical and cellular pharmacology, drug metabolism and disposition, renal pharmacology, neuropharmacology, behavioral pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and toxicology. IUPHAR nomenclature reports are published here. Pharmacological Reviews is ranked second in the Journal Citation Index’s pharmacology and pharmacy category.

Pharmacological Reviews is published continuously: articles go online as soon as they are ready for publication. Articles are assigned to quarterly issues. Content alerts and RSS feeds are available to all readers at no charge. Articles are available immediately with a subscription or through pay per view. Articles published from 1 to 5 years ago are freely accessible. All other content is available with a subscription or by pay per view. IUPHAR nomenclature reports are freely accessible upon publication.

Articles funded by the NIH, the Wellcome Trust, and the Research Councils UK are deposited with PubMed Central on behalf of authors.
