Gasotransmitters (NO, CO and H2S) have been implicated in a plethora of physiological and pathophysiological processes including angiogenesis, atherosclerosis, blood pressure regulation and cardioprotection, attracting wide attention among basic scientists and clinicians. During this symposium, recent progress in the biology and cardiovascular pharmacology of gasotransmitters, as well as the importance of their cross-talk will be highlighted. The topics presented span the entire spectrum from basic science to clinical trials of gasotransmitter-related molecules. The symposium targets a wide audience that includes pharmacologists, physiologists, biochemists and nutritionists.
