I loved my experience on the Hill, it gave me the chance to practice speaking to non-scientists about my work, and importantly showed me that our elected officials are interested in the work that we’re doing as pharmacologists.
It was a wonderful experience overall!

Capitol Hill Day is your opportunity to act and advocate for science funding by attending meetings with your elected officials.
Indicate your interest in attending the Hill Day on your ASPET 2024 Annual Meeting registration form. If you have already submitted your registration form, check the confirmation letter that was emailed to you when you submitted the form. Use the link in that email to check the Hill Day interest box.
Do I need to be an annual meeting attendee?
Yes, the ASPET Capitol Hill Day is only open to ASPET members attending the 2024 Annual Meeting.
Do I need to be an ASPET Member?
Will I be meeting with my elected officials on my own or will there be a guide?
You will be grouped with other Hill Day attendees from the same or nearby states.
What training will be provided for participants?
All participants will receive a recorded training session as well as all supporting documents needed within two weeks before the Hill Day. There will also be an open Q&A session with ASPET’s Government Affairs and Science Policy Department the week prior to the Hill Day.
