ASPET has three regional chapters that provide opportunities, particularly for students, to meet at regional venues to discuss their research. Poster competitions for students and postdoctoral fellows are a feature of the regional chapter meetings.
The regional chapters are distinct entities from ASPET and members of a regional chapter are not necessarily members of ASPET.

Great Lakes Chapter (GLC)
The Great Lakes Chapter (GLC) is a regional chapter of ASPET serving the local midwest areas surrounding the Chicago area.
The formation of the chapter was spearheaded on June 10, 1987 by Dr. William K. Riker, past president of ASPET, Dr. Seymour Ehrenpreis of the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Toshio Narahashi of Northwestern Medical School, and Dr. Israel Hanin of Loyola University Chicago to promote scientific communication among research workers interested in pharmacology.
Mid-Atlantic Pharmacology Society (MAPS)
The Mid-Atlantic Pharmacology Society (MAPS) is a regional chapter of ASPET serving the mid-Atlantic area surrounding the greater Philadelphia metro area.
The chapter was formed in 1987 by pharmacologists Warren Chernick, Jay Roberts, Paul Bianchi, and J. Bryan Smith with an objective to provide scientists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware with a forum for meeting on a regular basis to discuss recent advances in pharmacology, related medical disciplines, and therapeutics.
New York Pharmacology Society (NYPS)
The New York Pharmacology Society (NYPS) is a regional chapter of ASPET serving the state of New York.
It was founded in 2010 by Dr. Margarita Dubocovich and Dr. Peter Bradford of the University of Buffalo to serve pharmacologists at institutions and research organizations in the state including the cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.
