How is EB Protecting Your Research 

Although EB posters at the virtual meeting will be in PDF format, they are not downloadable. Slide presentations from oral talks are also not downloadable. While we realize this does not prevent an attendee from taking a screenshot of the work being presented, EB requires all registrants and abstract submitters to agree to adhere to both the EB Photography Policy and the EB Code of Conduct (see below). EB expects that all attendees will honor the request of the presenter to not capture their research as a matter of scientific and professional courtesy. EB will refer reports of violations by an attendee to the EB ombuds for their review and handling. In the virtual environment, EB staff cannot police or actively enforce noncompliance, but they will provide reminders and information about this policy to the registrants.

EB Photography and Recording Policy

EB is committed to honoring the rights of copyright owners and to respectful sharing of scientific research and data.  Attendees at EB-sponsored scientific meetings or events are expected to adhere to this policy.  In response to a changing culture, presenters and exhibitors are invited to display a set of icons to indicate to the audience whether or not photography/recording of poster, presentation, or exhibit booth and sharing/remixing of the material is permitted.

EB Code of Conduct

Experimental Biology (EB) is committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all event participants. It is EB’s policy that all forms of discrimination and harassment, sexual or otherwise, are prohibited in any EB events or activities.

EB participants (participants include sponsors, exhibitors, staff, attendees, venue employees and employees from other support suppliers) are expected to help us ensure a safe and positive conference experience for everyone and to abide by this Code of Conduct while attending EB.

• Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
• Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants.
