The ASPET journals highlight one trainee author (an undergraduate student, graduate student, or postdoctoral researcher) in each issue to spotlight their research. Highlighted trainee authors are either nominated by corresponding authors or are self-nominated. The journal selects the monthly highlighted trainee author from the nominees. Molecular Pharmacology launched the program in October 2017. The  Journal of Pharmacology and Therapeutics will follow in October 2019 and Drug Metabolism and Disposition in November 2019.
