Mini-reviews for Drug Metabolism and Disposition
Contemporary reviews on topics of interest covering the
more recent aspects of a subject in the area of interest will be published.
These may be critical reviews that present the authors’ view of the current
state of the subject or prospective articles intended to stimulate discussion
and research. Manuscripts submitted under this category should be accompanied by
a transmittal letter that highlights the significance of the work and includes a
list of at least four scientists who could serve as appropriate reviewers.
Interested authors are urged to contact the Editor prior to submission of a
review (jhalpert@utmb.edu).
Suggestions for topics or potential authors are also very welcome.
Perspectives in Pharmacology review articles
The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics has asked the ASPET
divisions to participate in a new feature for the journal that started in Jan of
2000 entitled Perspectives in Pharmacology (PiP). These articles, published
monthly, are brief overviews of topics of contemporary interest to our readers.
The first PiP article sponsored by the Division for Drug Metabolism was
contributed by Phillip M. Gerk and Mary Vore, Graduate Center for Toxicology,
University of Kentucky, Lexington KY, and it has now been published in JPET [Gerk
& Vore. Regulation of expression of the multidrug resistance-associated protein
2 (MRP2) and its role in drug disposition. JPET 302(2): 407-15, 2002]. The
Division is now soliciting suggestions for authors and/or topics for future
division-sponsored PiP articles. Send suggestions to David Riddick,
david.riddick@utoronto.ca.
